Got her!

Post by GFridrich3 »

Just lettin all of ya know, she's home, safely tucked into the stable until i get a little better weather to take her on the maiden voyage around the neighborhood.

Also, while i was there, they had 2 windshields and rear racks still available, so i took one of each of them and one of those bungee net things. Figured i might as well now, cause i may not get another chance, whether i actually install them or not.

So yea, i guess i am part of the super exclusice "in" crowd now!

Oh yea, and of the other 4 that were available, they are ALL gone now. All on hold or paid in full. SOOOOOO glad i got my hand in the cookie jar when I did.

Congrats! I still have another week to go, not gonna pick up my bouncing baby Blur until next Friday (June 20th). But when I do...carbon-fiber cigars for everyone!

Well thanks to GFridrich3's post about picking up a Blur I have done the same. Goodbye Buddy, hello Blur.

I have a Burnt Orange Mazda 6 car so I bought the Sunset Buddy. Getting a Blur instead I really wanted the '06 with the orange trim rather than ther '07 with the black and grey, but when I called the dealer they only had '07s. Well we went back and forth on details via email until yesterday morning I called to check up on things. And found out they were now sold out and hadn't held the one we were talking about.:( But then talking to the manager he said he had one '06--new-- that just became available. I told him that's what I had always REALLY wanted and since this was obviously a sign from the almighty I bought it right then and there on the phone.

Should be ready next Saturday, now I just have to sell my Buddy and get someone to give me a ride to the dealership.

I know alot of people here don't love topcases on the Blur for aesthetic reasons, but I really need/want one as I've come to rely on the one on my Buddy. Given that any suggestions for a good one?

I thought being a Buddy owner was an exclusive club...while I see Buddys all the time in Chicago, I have NEVER seen a Blur outside a dealership.

Ken at scooterworks told me he has one that works well on the blur, call him and ask him.

Will do. Thanks.

Now what do people with Blur's do for a cup holder?? I'm gonna miss that little compartment on my Buddy where I kept my water bottle or travel mug. Do I just get a canteen? :)

once you have the rear rack, fashion a crude mounting bracket, and attach a bicycle water bottle cage to it. Easy enough and super cheap.

Either that, or if you like to ride with a backpack to carry all your extra gear and stuff, get one with a camelpack in it?
