New Blur Owner-My first scooter!

I finally got my wife to say yes I could have a scooter. I then had to look through a years worth of info that i had collected and pick a scoot. The Blur kept coming up on top in spite of the fact that the closest dealer is 45 miles away and across an 8 mile bridge.
I called the dealer in San Francisco about 4 weeks ago. He said he thought he could get an 06 for $2500 and an 07 for $2700. I called him an hour later and he told me that he could get one.
However, a guy called in 2 weeks earlier to get a battery because he was trying to sell his Blur. He had bought it in Sept of 06 and had taken it to a parking lot to practice riding. In the process he fell off and destroyed his collar bone.
He rode it home and never got on it again. When I went to see him there 35 Blur units. He had been trying to sell it for 1.5 years and had 2 calls.
We made our deal.
For a number of reasons I could not pick it up for two weeks. In the mean time he received 3 other calls about the Blur. These people were looking on line and had found adds for it from 1.5 yrs. earlier.
The want for scooters has gotten very brisk.
My timing was very lucky and he was very honest. He probably could have been less honest and played my offer against these others to raise the price and he did not.
All this good luck was evened out when I went to ride it the 2nd day and I dropped it and broke the left brake handle. It was fairly easy to fix and it has been my joy for the last 3 days!
