I live in scenic southern Oregon in a valley nestled between the Cascades and the Siskiyou mountain ranges. This past friday morning I decided to try out the Blur on a hill climb, of sorts, on one of our many mountain roads. I chose to do a rather treacherous loop that assends the southern Oregon Cascades. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the Blur did climbing the almost verticle 3,000 foot climb up to one of two mountain lakes accessed along this road. I managed between 35 and 40 mph going uphill, which is as fast as you would really want to go on this twisty two lane road. It was especially fun zig-zagging in and out of the open range cattle that were also assending the hill, although not quite as quickly as I.
Having made it to the lodge at the first lake, and having downed my morning coffee, I hit the road again en route to lake number two and then on down a REALLY twisty mountain road with sheer dropoff's of what seemed like forever. I would estimate 1,500 feet to where you would make contact with anything but air. Anyway, I was going to stop and take photographs but was having way too much fun in the "twisties". Boy does this scooter corner nicely. I especially like the fact that you can go from brake to power without needing to concern yourself with shifting as with motorcycles. In short, I had a blast! I smiled for the rest of the day!! A lady that my wife works with mentioned to her that she saw a "crazy man" on a scooter going up the hill. My wife didn't know that it was me at the time and cannot wait to tell her it was her husband! Good times which would have been better perhaps with say 250 cc's but that is my only comment. I made the trip on just over 1 gallon. Good job, Blur!!
Hats off to the Blur

Glad you enjoyed the ride. The Blur really is an amazingly well built scooter. I still can't get over how crisp the handling is.

Awe yes Hiatt and Howard Prairie, beautiful ride, I've done it many times on motorcycles but haven't tried it yet on one of my scooters, I don't have any motorcycles anymore so I should attempt it on one of my 150cc scooters. I've thought about it but kind of thought that a 150cc isn't quite enough although I know any of them could do it maybe just slower which is fine. Glad to read that you went and enjoyed it. I live in Phoenix Or and work in Ashland-would love to see your Blur, I've read a lot about them and know they are great sccoters, maybe I will PM you and arrange to see it.
Happy scootering from Southern Oregon.
