Rattler Rear Rack

Post by siobhan »

Hello Rattler friends,

One of the security guards on campus has a Rattler 50 and asked me about getting a rack for it as he likes the rack/milkcrate combo I have on my Buddy. I did a search on the Rattler rack here and it sounds like a lot of you don't like it (too small, quality is a little iffy, can't actually find it to buy it), so...

what would you suggest for him? I'm going to my local shop today to see if they have it in stock, and if not, is anyone making anything after market? If so, pics and cost?

If I can find the stock rack, would a standard square milkcrate fit on it ok? I'd be doing the install for him.

Thanks so much in advance. This guy is just the nicest guy in the world but has suffered a traumatic brain injury and wouldn't be able to do this research on his own.

Cheers!

Check out the stock rack on the roughhouse. Saw one the other day and it looks very useful. I am sure it's back ordered into who knows when

I ordered a Rattler rack from Scooterworks within the last 2 weeks; it was in stock & shipped the same day!

Yup, you are correct, & it surprised me also when the sales rep said "yes, it's in stock". It amazed me even more when she said, "it's shipping out today", & even more when UPS delivered it shortly thereafter. It took a little finesse to get the rear bolts properly lined up with the mounting threads & spacers, but what the heck, it was less than $68 bucks delivered to my door. I'm pleased.
