Post by bigbropgo »

anybody have a quick action throttle installed. any benefit. a few scooter sites label this as a performance part. and in listing mods most people list this in there performance listing.

No, & it hardly seems necessary. Mine has a V8 pipe, Uni pod, 125 main in the stock carb.

My best guess is that the throttle cable boss is ramped to pull more cable with less twist, all other things equal. To use that you would probably have to give up the OEM control housing & make other arrangements for the flasher & starter switches. Why bother, it's much ado on a Rat.

thats the same one i was looking at. sometimes i find myself looking at upgrades... just to look. @ 75-85 with ship i just wondered if there was anything to it besides just a cool look. (although sometimes thats reason enough). I'm waiting for some new bars and grips and stumbled on this set up. yes on the 7/8 bars. stage 6 has some sweet parts. hard to track them down in the states sometimes. and when you find them....the currency conversion and oversea ship is enough to give me a stroke.
