so my rat 110 is soon to be a 123
if modded the crossbolt motor mount and can put anything i want as far as an intake-my question is what do i get?
what kind of engine is this?
malaguti minarelli whatever-im ok with the rotax and yamaha sleds but new to the scoots
its got a 26kehien carb and v8 pipe

Its the bolt pattern that screws it up. Its close to the zuma size but the bolt holes don't match. The new one at scooterworks or custom built is about it.( for now anyway)

tuning an intake tract is not very complicated
you will need a stub exhaust about 4 inches long and a properly tuned carb
then make an intake manifold about 4 - 5 inches long and cut it shorter and shorter until you have the widest range of power. when you take the exhaust's resonance effect away and test with the seat of your pants dyno it is usually a noticeable difference when you start to get close to the proper resonance by shortening your intake a little at a time. this is the most straightfoward method of tuning an intake tract. fyi intake length is the entire intake system ie carb air cleaner etc
