cold weather starting issues rat 110cc

well it started the choke seems to work, after it kicked down it stalled, started right up stalled , started again gave it some throttle stalled, installed new plug,new fuel filter, new air filter, last month in warm weather runs good.
but 50 deg its scetchy confused need help I would like some cold weather advice thanks :oops:

With big temp changes, you need to adjust the air/fuel screw on the Rat110. I usually have to set it at the start of the season, when the heat peaks, and then again for fall weather. Of course do this after warming up the engine.

thats the big black knob or is that the idle adjust new to adjusting the carb is there a walk through post on this subject been searchng and cant find :cry:

ok to weird seems like every thing is ok now didnt do nothing and it ran fine :roll: idle is between 1850 and 1920 tomarrow will be 40 in the morning we will see what happens then :wink:

It's the brass slotted screw behind the black knob... I drilled a small hole in the pet carrier so I can adjust it easier. Looks like another drain hole in the bottom of the carrier so it's no big deal.

Unless it's an '09...then it's not a slotted screw, it's a "D" shaped screw. Means a hole in the pet carrier doesn't help...you still need to remove the carrier.

I see how that makes a big difference im drilling saturday with the seat out . i set the the air and idle sounds good set it alittle bit on the high side also noticed that my spark plug came out very easly i think the temp canges from 40 to 70 made it loose so checkin again in the morning and see what happens :wink:
