Rattler registration
How many rattler owners have a tag and registration? I bought mine w/700mi and was ridden as a 50cc.

a year ago a friend was driving his tank 150 with the one scratched out... oh i live in Concord NC as well as he... he got stopped on Union St. within 15 min... he was in handcluffs,,, had a pocket full of tickets and the bike got inpownded,,, he never got the bike back the cost was more then the bike... he used his call to call me to bond him out $500 but i told him i could not,,, and i told him they would do just what they did when they catch him riding that bike with no ins. tag,,, reg. perment...
within two years i was stopped twice on my tgb 50cc just for the officer to check to see if it was under 50cc... nothing more,,, one officer did ask if i had ins. he was happy i did... iv also got stopped in Salisbury,,, it was much more of a hassle than in Concord,,, they detained me for over 30 min... trying to say my tgb 50 could not carry two people... they let me and my daughter go,,, the bike did have rear footpegs... this was a concern when i got the Rattler for it really does not have a "FOOT PEG" but i have not had any problem yet...
if you at least had ins. you might avoid the trip to jail and the inpownd of the bike,,, but really thats up to the officer at the time...
and yes we both see 150's and such all over town riding without a tag,,, two wrongs dont make a right here,,, and iv notice you dont see that rider riding that bike long...
one advantage you do have is the odometer,,, one key way an officer can tell if its over 50cc is if the odometer reads over 50mph,,, the rattler he can not tell...
oh lie to the officer and tell him its a 50cc and he finds out its not,,, your more than likely going to get criminal charges...
or you could keep riding it as you are now and let us know what happens when you do get stopped,,, or have that crash...
do what you want but it well catch up with you if you keep braking the law...
but having other bikes you should know this...

Mine's registered. I was gonna wait until summer to register it again, but the weather was so damn nice and parking at school is so much better with a scooter that I couldn't resist getting it out (about a month ago). Campus cop pulled me over and gave me a reg ticket. Now mine is current and my wallet is much lighter...

I have ridden it a few times without a tag. I was riding a harley last year and I have a new beo 500 this year. I won't risk it again. I didn't know the penalty was so bad. I don't plan on tagging it this year. I may just put it up for sale. I have too many scoots and can't insure them all. Thanks for the tip!

Rattler 110 has plate, registration, and insured; rider (me) has motorcycle operator endorsement on driver's license; here in PA...
1) any scoot over 50cc is considered a motorcycle & must be registered, plated, and insured as one if operated ON THE ROAD
2) any scoot 50cc & smaller is EXEMPT from motorcycle classification and the rider DOES NOT have to have a motorcycle license endorsement nor motorcycle permit to operate, but still tagged as a motorcycle and insured as one...a 'gray zone' but it permits folks who don't want to apply for a motorcycle permit/license to operate a scooter ON THE ROAD
