Exhaust Problem Help
Ok, where the header bolts up to the motor there are those 2 pins that the nuts screw onto to secure the exhaust. One of those pins seems to have broken in half up inside of there. How in the world do I need to go about getting it out/replacing it?

That sucks! You need to get a tap set from the auto parts store or Sears, somewhere like that. Basically it will have a bit you drill through the center of the broken stud and a special square shaped bit that you twist in the hole you just drilled and back out the broken piece. It's very tricky you don't want to ruin the threads or you will have trouble putting a new thread in.

The tap set isn't usually expensive. The bad part is being sure to drill it perfectly in the center.so you don't drill into the threads. You will probably have to spray it down with pb blaster or wd40. In my experience exhaust studs don't usually come out easy, and sparaying it and letting it soak in will help when you are backing out the broken piece. I'm sure you could YouTube a video on how its done. Good luck!

Ok so it ended up being a lot more simple than I thought it was going to be. After removing the the exhaust and gasket, it appeared that the broken pin was barely sticking out. just enough to get ahold of it with some good lock pliers. So I took it down to the shop and got some new pins and nuts put on so all is well.
