My cars are a 2005 Volvo XC90 that just turned 77k mi. and as
recommended in the owners manual, just last week I spent the
$814 to get the water pump, timing belt, serpentine belt & hoses
all changed, along with the oil change using Mobil 1 full synthetic oil.
( I am a sticker for over maintaining things! lol )
My other car is a 2004 Mercedes S500 that just clicked past 120k and
still looks near showroom new. And after the tweaks that I had done to it will eat a stock 2007 Mustang GT for lunch from 0 to 140 mph!

NOW, I say all that not, repeat NOT as a "look what I have" thing,
I say it as a WHY I have what I do.
You see, I believe that most things mechanical, you really DO get what you pay for. I like WELL BUILT tough as nails things.
I spent the better part of every moment of my free time reading reviews and watching YouTube on scooters. The only China scooter I looked into
was the KYMKO Agility 50.
Was looking HARD at a Honda Ruckus. But $3200, FOR SO LITTLE! :-/
Looked then at the Yamaha Zuma 50. Not bad, but still flawed. And I found one for $2600. The KIMKO was $1500 iirc, but was a 3 hour (one way!)
drive to go look at it.
Up until 2 weeks ago, I had never even heard of Genuine.
I am not a "scooter buff", so I did know very little about scooters except
my own past experience with 3 I had growing up.
In chronological order, I have owned a Suzuki 50, a Honda Express 50, and a Yamaha Razz 50. The last one I owned was sold more than 23 years ago. I was 15, weeks away from 16, had just been given my first car (A 1984 Ford Tempo) and sold the little Razz for $300 to buy a booming stereo system for my car.

As time went by, I bought other bikes. My last one that I sold about a month ago was a Suzuki DR125 Dual Sport. ( I do have a full motorcycle license)
So along comes an ad in the paper from a dealer about 45 min away advertising Genuine Scooters. Hmmmmmmmm.
So I dug. And studied. And Learned. And LIKED everything I read / watched. These really are the "unsung hero's" of the scooter world. But not for long! I see the sales have nearly doubled over the last year. (2 years???)
I like to buy QUALITY items. Things that are worth owning, and can be proud to own. I will admit, for about 3 hours, I watched YouTube vids of those cheap CHEAP Chinese Tao Tao scooters. There is a dealer for them literally FIVE MINIUTS from my home. lol
But very poor quality. GOOD engines. The GY6 IS a GOOD engine.
But the rest of the bikes are junk IMO.
So, today I went, drove, and fell in love with the Roughhouse 50.
It was a demo unit, was already derestricted!!!!!! WOOO HOOOO!!!

Has 89 miles on it. 3 of them mine from the test drive.
And here is the AMAZING PART!!!! I paid EXACTLY $1,788.17 total out the door! That is KYMCO territory there!!!!

Bike was $1599!!! , Taxes, title fee, and license plate was $189.17.
AND I got a free helmet too. (May come with all new scooters, not sure)
I seen them advertised with an MSRP of $1,999.00
So I feel like I really did get a good deal on it.
I would have purchased the orange 50cc Buddy as well (also was $1599) for my wife as well, but with her scoliosis the seat angle and cramped floorboard bothered her. She LOVED the Stella, but it was 125cc and she has no motorcycle license and has no desire to get one. So we are still hunting for a 50cc for her to ride as well.
One last thing and I will shut up, I am 5' 11" and a light 170 lbs.
And this derestricted 50CC hit 50MPH! 0_0 WOW
If someone did not know better, you would swear it was a 80cc or better!

THANKS to all you who have put in past reviews on your Roughhouse.
Your reviews made for some good reading, and went a long way to helping me decide to join the Genuine bandwagon!
