New Rattler 110 Owner

Post by NorCalRattler »

Hi all, just picked up a 2009 110 w/660 miles for $500. All in working order. Appears to have been tipped over at some point as there is slight scratching on rear left panel and also there is a hole in the seat. Probably doesn’t need to be reupholstered but it’s gonna drive me crazy. Given the age and low mileage, I’ll probably due a quick little tuneup to get everything freshened up. This is the first scooter I’ve ever owned so I’m looking forward to any tips, tricks, etc. you’re willing to offer. Thanks!

Cheekyseats makes a lot of excellent seat covers, might be a nice solution if the seat is still padded properly, but looks raggedy.

Thanks Stanza, have already looked at option but going to do something more custom. I tried to post a picture of the scooter on my original post, but posting from my phone and it said file size was exceeded.

Here’s a picture of the bike with the seat, sorry this pic is many, many months late. Looking forward to riding this around a bit more once the weather warms up.

The bike has always run rough since I bought it, just chalked it up to the funny nature of being a two stroke. Having two kids under the age of three I never have much tinker time to myself.

I adjusted the idle a ton hoping that would help but it didn’t. Last night finally swapped the plug (what a PITA). It’s now running and starting much better.

Old plug wasn’t in the best shape (the scooter only has 700 miles on it total) and for some reason it was only plugged to .025.

I’ve now installed a new, properly gapped plug and the scoot is much happier.

Are you still enjoying your Rattler 110? I'm thinking of buying one. I've read mixed reviews on reliability. You know anything about that? Tom
