22 Roughhouse idle

Just purchased this Roughhouse. When the previous owner started this unit cold (87 plus degrees) in his garage for the first time many days it rev'd up pretty high and after 30 seconds it dropped off to what I thought was normal. The problem is most times while rolling up to a stop it takes forever for the idle to drop down to normal. The idle speed seems a little high most of the time but sometimes it will drop down to a reasonable speed which I think is perfect. I can only assume there is an idle screw. Should I try to turn it down when the idle is too high or should I just leave it alone. Keep in mind this unit has less than 1000 miles on it.
