Wakeskating behind a rattler....?

Post by denskies »

Ok so I have this craaazy idea. If you arent familiar with wakeskating, its like wakeboarding but without bindings, similar to a skateboard on water. Do you guys think that the rat has enough torque and stuff to pull someone behind it?

I think the hardest part will be getting the scooter to float

That looks to be about 15-20mph? How long a rope you talking about? Iv seen 4wheelers do it but not bikes/scooters. Not something i would try but would love to watch! Will it do it? I think it would. Would puller and pullie eat sand? Most likely. I see broken bones and mouths full of sand, not to say what it would do to the Rattler... But hell 30 years ago it would have been easy to have talked me into it if I was drunk enought... I even tryed hangliding "ONCE" how did that go? NOT TOO GOOD!!!

i have done this behind a truck in a canal and it was sweet. i think a rattler tail end would pull out and not grip the road surface. plus a scoot has a hard time holding speed up a hill let alone pulling someone in water.

have in said that...have fun and be safe. brain buckets and all. if it doesnt work try a long board in a big parking lot.
no i don't ride a scooter, i am a scooter pilot!

I dont think a stock Rattler has enough power to get someone up honestly. Give it a try and report back. I have seen people do it with 4 wheelers no problem. But thats more like 20-30 hp instead of 8hp.

there will be no getting up. Weve done this behind cars and we usually just run with the rope and jump on the skate.
