2009 Rattler has a 12mm bolt thats in the side of the exhaust about 4" from the muffler. Does anyone know what this bolt is for? It holds nothing down has a washer and lockwasher but from what i see it goes to nothing. I have not taken it out, and wondered just what it was for.

I am not sure, but I scraped this bolt and almost slid out. Told my dealer and they said the same thing happened on a test drive (except they went down)

Probably a left over for emissions stuff that wasn't required or reconfigured for import to the us

Take that bolt out and take it for a ride, it increases the sound by 150%.
When i first got my rattler last summer i was looking for a way to make it louder and thats the first thing i did. Then after a while i thought i was a lil to loud, so drilled out an 1/8'' hole through the bolt and put it back in. You still get the same affect but not quite so loud. Right now ive got a Prima pipe, modified air filter and 115 jet so right now im back to sounding like 2-stoke dirt bike. I get lots of stares where ever i go, kinda dig it!!
