Need New Rear Rack for my Roughhouse 50

Post by siafu »

Hi all.

So I decided after reading all your posts on rear top case to go for the SHAD 29 top case, for the price it seams like a solid case.

From reading it appears that I need a different rear rack to be able to mound the SHAD 29 on. I have contacted Scooterworks, because I thought someone here said they sell this black rear rack there, but they say I don't need no rack, that their Genuine rack will work on my rack, I don't think this is right, as even that rack will not fit on my rack, maybe it will, but then I can't put gas in my scoot anymore, because the top case will block access to the gas tank cap.

Can someone clarify where can I purchase this rear rack that will fit on my roughhouse 50, same as the black cat I believe.

Thank you very much.

SHAD SH-29

Hi,

I think you should look for the standard Roughhouse rear rack that will support a top case. All SHAD cases come with standard mounting plates, they mount to any flat surface with a nuts and bolts system. Therefore, track down the flat rear rack for your Genuine and then you will be able to mount the case without a problem.

Hello Shadusa.

Can you confirm what the inside dimensions are of the Shad SH29?

I have a full size helmet, extra large, someone told me that it would not fit, and that I would need the shad sh33.

I don't want an oversize top case, it will be too big for the little scooter.

Thank you.

Hello.

I decided to get the Shad 33 and it fit's nicely on the RH50 as you mentioned, thank you very much.

It fit's very well on the original rack of the RH50 as you illustrate in the pictures you posted.

Thank you very much for your suggestion.

Is that mounted on the stock rack? You were able to get it that far back? Do you know if that method would work for a Coocase or Givi?

Hi.

Yes it is mounted on the stock rack.

Most people said that I needed a speciall rack, that I have actually purchased, but managed to install it on the stock rack, so now I don't need the speciall rack anymore.

I don't know about other cases, but the SH33 fits nicely on the stock rack.

But if you are interested in the special rack model number RRRAT1-B make me an offer. It is brand new and it sells for $60 plus shipping from a dealer, that is if they have it on stock, these are a bit hard to find.

Good luck.

I have for sale, the rack, (NOT the TOP BOX) a special bigger rack, not the stock rack that comes with the scooter.

You can mound any top box much more easily on this rack that I have for sale.
