Well, I did a rally this weekend. An 8 mile trip from 3500 ft. elev. Cottonwood to the top of Mingus Mtn. (7024 ft.), met a group of scooterists from Phoenix and Tucson and we rode back down through Cottonwood, 20 miles to Sedona and through it and up Oak Creek Canyon to Flagstaff (about 30 miles and from 3500 ft. elev. to about 7000 ft.) Had breakfast and met about 20 more scooterists. Then back down the way we came into Sedona, south to the Village of Oak Creek and up and over Beaverhead Flats Road. In Cornville, we took a right onto Page Springs road, then back through Cottonwood and Jerome to the top of Mingus Mtn. again for a night of tom-foolery, jack-assery and camping. I made it about 2 miles down Page Springs Road, though, and my engine again rattled a wee bit and quit. No compression again. I'm sure I fried a piston again.
Now, the last time this happened, it was because the oil pump had an air-leak, but when they replaced the cylinder, head, piston and wristpin, they also replaced the oil pump, so it SHOULD have been fixed! I also always put a capful or so of 2-stroke oil in the gas when I fill up as added insurance. So, I don't know WHAT happened this time....I'll keep you posted...

Iv had to park my rattler as well,,, the clutch is trash,,, it jurks slips jurks and once it reaches the 2nd stage (30mph about) it just is unrideable... 5200 miles,,, its always jurked iv changed the rollers to sliders hoping this would help it did to some degree but with all things the more you use it the worse it gets.... the clutch pads are less than 1/8",,, aftermarket replacement is very high and needs moding in order to work (from what i was told)... Engine runs like a champ... Tires are gapped from not being balanced ,,,, at about 35mph is like riding a horse it jumps and bucks so much... At least i have other bikes to ride,,, not as fun as the rattler but gets the job done... I dont want to go with a stock clutch seeing how this one works...

Here's the low-down....Genuine is once again honoring my warranty and we think we have discovered the problem and it will be rectified. AND I'm getting a Prima pipe and accompanying main jets added at the same time! I know, a lot of people have expressed disappointment in their Prima pipes, but I just GOTTA try....

for a 2t the stock carb/jets are for short rides and do not deliver the gas to the carb it needs to cool the engine, , that`s right for a 2t to cool at long running time it needsmore fuel!!not more oil,,who would have thunk it. look to the 2t race bikes the all jet-out to the max. i does help keep the engine cooler.,, to much oil mix is a bad thing!
i would suggest a 21mm carb and a 95 jet. did that on a friend of mines rat, it really works better for the long trips
