clutch shaft seal

came out this morning to find my clutch shaft seal has a slow leak.
My bike only has 4500 mi. Has anyone else seen this or do i beat the piss out of mine.

Oh and the gear casing has not been split.

I had somewhat the same fear,,, to find out the oil was coming from the carb... wash and recheck before you brake down...

no its definetly the seal had the clutch and pulley off and oil is draining out of the seal. thats what warranty is for( beating the piss out of your bike fixing it for free then sell the damn thing!) i need something to ride to pennsylvania anyway. anyone have a 2t road bike for sale?

Oh my but u see iv got first dib's on this one... amazing he only wants a grand for it,,, it has been layed down once few scratchs and a dent in the tank,,, 4232 miles on it,,, even has the stock tires that are dry rotted... its ether sink money in the Rattler this spring or pick this baby up... back in 70 i got the 90cc twin 2t that looks just like it cept mine was yellow... dont worry its not going no where... when you heading cross the mason/dixon line? I do know where there is another one ,,, needs some work i was told,,, ill have to check into it for you,,, its a 71 but looks the same...

in a few weeks im flying up to see my folks. ill be flying though not enough time to drive. look into the other yami for me. i would need to look at it though im real picky about what machines i purchase. funny you mentioned the dry rotted tires, i just restored a 53 vespa with the original "allstate" spare. good luck finding another one of those!

My brother had the kawasaki 750H2 triple 2t

A 750 H-2 still holds the record for the fastest nitrous injected 750 cc motorcycle, with a standing quarter-mile of 7.776 seconds at 170 mph by Brian Pretzel of Redline Motorsports and the fastest normally aspirated 750cc motorcycle with a standing quarter-mile of 8.24 at 153 mph held by Joe Bird of Fremont Nebraska.

The day i seen my brother ride it his 750triple (we lived on a farm in north fla. road was 5 miles no turns/hill just dirt sideroads) he was already doing 70mph or better he downshifted two gears and it took off like a slingshot... He came back as i was leaving and said this thing well kill you!!! Long to short he got another bike and i never seen it again...

this is what my first onroad motorcycle was, 5speed 5bhp oil injected electric start... it would hit 65 and hold 50mph very well up hill was like a battle but at least you could downshift to keep the rpm's up... I beat it to hell!!! made "evel" jumps in a sink holes back in the woods with my cuz'in and a Suzuki 125 Hondo dirtbike,,, I ended up giving to my old scoutmasters son. He crashed it bad and it went to junk...

did not mean to hijack the post but vespatech and i have the same heart when it comes to the loves of two stroke engines... here is a link to some of the older stuff made back in the day I had a 125cc trails that had a leaver on the crankcase that you could switch between low (off road) and hight... in high you could hit 45mph WOT and hold it pretty much... In low range in 4th WOT was 20mph it was a blast in the dirt would love to have another one and would ride it,,, for the ones that dont know what trails riding is its going slow not putting your foot on the ground over anything... our young dumbass selfs would get drunk and try and stand it up on a picanic table... i know bike abuse... ended up dumping it in the sand sucking sand in the carb into the engine... its parked in the woods where it gave out on me,,, i walked a good 8 miles out the swamps of northen fla.

im going vintage from here on out... i thought about the stella but after sitting on one its not for me... now vespatech is talking "53" and after seeing some older stuff localy,,, its just for me now at my age...

i have driven the 250 Hustler (top right) ran it through the gears at redline it well well do more than the posted 105mph that was just in 4th gear,,, that was the first time in my life going over 100mph on two wheels and it was better than sex at the time...
Now to find them thats been sitting in the shed all these years...

The first time I did The Ton on 2 wheels was on that Suzuki 250. Mine had true expansion chambers, & man, was that puppy L-O-U-D...

back in them days you could not find a small motorcycle that was not a 2t... one of my cuz has a small honda 100ish 4t,,, it had no power at all and did not run well ether...

its a shame... 2 strokes can be made to run cleaner than 4 strokes of the same displacement. and have more power. the epa either knows we cant keep a 2t stock or... they fear that ominous powerband!

Look at the snowmobile market!! One of the fastest, most powerful, best economy sleds on the market today is the SkiDoo E-Tec engine. It is a direct injected engine that produces less emissions than most of the 4-stroke sled engines do.

Don't give up on the 2-stroke engine yet. There are alot of clean burn technologies that are coming from the diesel market that work on a 2-stroke as well. There is talk of BIG 500-700cc 2-stroke motors coming back to market.

On the same note, I don't think Yamaha even makes a 2 stroke snowmobile anymore. They have gone all 4-stroke.

The e-tec is awesome, it sips oil and has great mpg's
