CYLINDER KITS

Post by weezool »

SINCE I HAVE TO REBILD MY TOP END FOR THE 3RD TIME ,ANY THOUGHTS ON A GOOD ,CHEAP KIT!! SW. GOT A PRIMA KIT ON SALE FOR$89.99 WHAT ABOUT THE NCY 47mm Cast Iron Jog/Minarelli 2-stroke Cylinder w/o Head
A simple bolt on 70 cc kit for minarelli based, air cooled, 2-stroke scooters with a 10mm wrist pin. Don''t forget that with every 2-stroke cylinder kit upgrade, it’s necessary to put a tablespoon or so of two stroke oil in your gas tank with every fill up. We recommend Ipone oils for all of NCY''s big bore kits. Both 1400-1005, City Oil 2 and OIL-IPCITY, Scoot City Strawberry Synthetic are great options. Also, don''t forget when putting a larger cylinder on your scooter, to upjet your carburetor. We recommend starting your jetting rich and then working your way down to the perfect mix.
ITS $99.99 THEY ARE AC Iron Cylinder Kit THIS IS NOW GETTING $$$$$$ I HAVE ALSO LOOKED AT A FEW OTHER SITES LIKE MOPED HOSPITAL ,WORLD OF SCOOTER PARTS ,ANY OTHER SITES OR ADVICE?? ITS A LOT TO THINK ABOUT ,ILL POST MY PROGRESS IN PNOTOS HERE SO HOPEFULY SOMEONE CAN LEARN AT MY EXPENCE!!

for cast iron kits i like the top performance trophy
on the zuma it works great with the stock carb and stock and aftermarket pipes
the down side is i cant think of any one in the us that sells them you can get them at scooter attack (germany) or sp motors(canada)
now if you want a more wild build and stick with cast iron i would go with the polini corsa but you will need to upgrade the carb and the pipe

as for adding oil to the tank you need to upjet even more if you are adding any oil to the tank over on the zuma boards i have seen dozens of people who tried to mix a bit of oil in with the gas burn up top ends becase they ended up lean (remeber that this is an a/c engine so your mix does 3 things gives fuel lubes and cools and if you dont have the right amount of fuel ie oil displacing fuel you will be lean)

remeber you have the same horizonal minerlai as a zuma so dont base your choice of kits on what avalable for the rat look at the zuma there are over 70 diffrent bbks for this engine and as far as i know the prima and myc are bottem of the line kits

oh and to give you an idea if you set up the top perfomance trophy kit just right you can get over 10,000 miles before you need new rings and you will have a ton of power
i dont know about the gearing on the rat but on the zuma with a touring pipe varaitor tp trophy kit and sl60 tires i could hit 60 and cruise at 55

Scootercraft.com has some. It will at least give you some brand names and options. Look for cylinder kits for the pgo bigmax. There are many more that's just a start.

well i see you found zumaforms by your post over there
that is proably the best board around for zumas
if you realy want to get in and talk to some hard core tuners that do all sorts of brands check out
http://www.scooterinvasion.net/
if the guys over on zf rub you wrong then post up over on my forum some of the nicer guys are over there
www.scooteraddict.com

i would check out sp motors in canda for the horizontal zuma
http://www.spmotostore.com/category_s/3121.htm
i see they have now added pgo to there list

i will tell you that you wont get as much performance out of most cast iron 2 ring kits but they will last longer then the single ring al kits

as for us parts i would call moped hospital
you can check out
http://www.provoscooter.com/
i have not delt with them in a while they claim to be under new owner ship and i havent heard as many complaints about them lately

if you do a search over on zf you will find a few lists of parts suppliers
i have a list some where ill see if i can find it of a bucnh of suppliers that i have used or people i know have used for parts not all are zuma only places but some may be
