i'm not sure Maj, but they look a little big to me but that's just from the picture, otherwise keep the faith and keep riding.

Size wouldn't be to bad but does it hang to close to the pipe. The 2t pipe sits higher than the buddy, and much higher than any vintage. The description sounds like a quality, all weather set of bags. not for me personally but if you find yourself needing more storage often then this would help.

Now that I think about it, the rattler has a short riding stance. Most of us sit back on the seat a bit. Dunno if the bags sit across the seat and you sit on that or does it sit across the rack and dangle. I would think it would hit the back of your legs on a rattler.

I had a set of the SX Appeal saddle bags and I finally got rid of them. The bags fit my Buddy 50 nicely which meant that they were way too small to be useful. These ones look like they are about the size of the prima bags which is much better. I've seen the prima bags on a rattler at my dealer and they fit just fine. I can tell you that while I had the bags on my scooter which was only a few weeks, they never damaged the paint. This may change over time though. How easy they are to remove depends on how you mount them. I cut the bottom strap off of my SX appeal bags and just used the under the seat straps and it was very easy to take them on and off. They were a bit floppy without the bottom straps to secure them but nothing bad.

I bought the formosa saddle bags, The great thing about them is its a seat cover to, so I was able to add a layer of cushion before I put it on and the lacing under the seat creates little storage area under the seat for a rag or even extra goggles or glasses. They roll up when not in use and tuck nicely,if rolled nicely right next to the seat. They dont look pretty but the function nice. The one above the exhaust is shorter so it fits nicely on my rattler. They also lock with little luggage locks, so between the saddle bags and my homemade topcase, I can fit about 6 to 8 bags of groceries depending on what they are and still strap a few cases of soda to the top of the top case, I'll try to post some pics, i'll wait til I go shopping so you can see it loaded!
