Arreche 821/3 Carb for Rattler 110

Post by B02S4 »

This is the one that fits the Rattler 110. I just found out that Provo plans to do a special order with a supplier tomorrow. I have no interest in Provo other than being a satisfied customer. If you are interested now is a good time to contact them for details!

I'm not sure what you're asking, but this carb is 21mm & is a bolt on fit for the OEM Rat intake manifold.

that was half the question i guess... but is not the stock intake smaller than 21mm??? i forgot... and im sure if you found a working carb if they had a intake they would have offered... does the carb have a manual choke???

Th inner diameter of the stock intake manifold is 20mm, what's your point?

I would buy one just for a manual choke, damn electronic one has never worked right for me.

What is the benefit of putting a 21mm carb on a 20mm hole?

Because it is bigger than the dinky carb that the 110 came with (which isn't really 19mm, & ought to be on a 49cc motor) & will improve the flow substantially over the stock carb, even with the stock 20mm intake.

Going any larger than a 21mm carb does not make sense with a stock intake manifold as a general rule, but the stock carb (which looks functionally more like a 16mm at the smallest point) simply ain't big enough for a 106.2 cc motor, IMO.

I'm with you on that, BOS24...is this carb designed to be used with the oil injection system, or do you need to pre-mix? Next question...where do I find said carburetor?

Keys, look up ^^^ :D

The oil injection plumbs in after the carb, there is no oil line to the carb.

No need to premix.

I just want to throw this out there. I am really considering this and a sincere thanks for the heads up. But for the sake of argument, if a subframe could be fabricated to change or eliminate the crossmember bolt, and the intake now could be run straight. What is the ideal length and bore? Are you pretty much just trying to match the outlet of the carb ? And anything over stock length is a waste? I'm just brainstorming so sorry to get of topic. With the stupid intake of the rattler if this thing bolts on right, its prob the way to go. Or scootertuners idea of hacking the intake of and using rubber hose and a clamp. I just can't wrap my head around the idea of just rigging crap together.

Yes, unless you custom fab an intake manifold or relocate the darn pivot.

I don't think the "chop the flange & run hi-pressure silicone hose" trick will really work with the OEM intake manifold, given the oil line plumbing.

Basically we need to run a carb that is close in size to the intake manifold, or run an intake manifold that is ideally matched to the carb.

Go too small on the carb/intake & you kill the top end. Go too large on the carb/intake & you kill the bottom end. Get it just right and you are good to go.

I think a 21mm carb (a true 21mm bore) is going to be pretty close to perfect on a 106.2 motor.

I spoke to Garrett at PS today, & he's going to put the order in tomorrow. If any procrastenators want in, now is the time. The 821/3's are special order only & are very rare stateside.

How much is a good thing to know.

(I'm still waiting on a few prices myself for that other part in a different thread  depending on order method.)

great find indeed,,, even with the stock intake i bet this carb well improve engine opperation...

we are looking at making an adapter for the intake or braket to raise the bolt,,, tech want to try adapter i want to move bolt... we well try adapter first being i think it would be easyer... we are also going to have the rear gears taken out and taken to someone that might be able to make a higher ratio... we might have the gears out as soon as friday...

iv done this before with a 1928 i had to make a carb for and that was to use "wood" to make an adapter for the carb i had to use... it worked wonderful and is still on the auto today... hard wood works best... sand and bath in oil... even if its just used as a templet to make another one... we well look into this friday as well...

if the bolt was not the problem,,, just what would be the idle intake and carb setup for the rattler???

This is not a new find, Tumon-Ninja previously recommended Arreche - as the only known off the shelf bolt-on...

Did anyone end up getting the 21mm Arreche? (I know most of the big boys have moved on to the intake and a 26mm). If you did get the 21, did it make a noticeable difference? Any comments about this are greatly appreciated.

theres two guys here in guam that have it, haven't rode their bikes but just following them the bikes are more responsive.....i think this carb is worth it, if your not going to race ur ratt, but want more even balance and flow for the ratt....

and its less then $150 to get it vs. getting the NCY intake and a 26mm carb.

what i would do
