Roughhouse Loose Mirror

Post by scootscootFL »

New member here.

I recently purchased a 2008 Roughhouse with a few cosmetic issues. The first and most annoying is my left hand mirror swings very easily and never stays where I would like it. If anyone has had this issue or knows how I might fix it I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

I've heard that the blue loctite is a valuable tool in getting the mirrors to stay tight as they tend to rattle loose alot, I have not had that problem w/ my rat but, from what i read it seems to help.
Where you at in FL? good to see another sunshine stater here on the MB.

I've used it, and it does work great. However DO NOT USE THE RED LOCTITE. It will permanently bond the metal together, and the mirror will effectively be welded in place at that point. The blue stuff works great, but the mirror can still be removed with a wrench.

Thanks for the replies.

So basically I would be looking to glue it into place with blue Loctite?

The blue Loctite keeps the bolt from working loose, yes. It's basically a kind of glue designed specifically to keep bolts and nuts from loosening. I keep a tube in my scooter's tool kit, it's so useful.
