Hello All,

Just received the Prima stage 2 kit today for my Roughhouse today from scooterworks. I put on the exhaust and I was amazed at how fast it went on. However, there is a tube running from the carbretor that used to plug directly into the old exhaust pipe and there is no place to attach the tube back into the new muffler as it did on the old muffler. Any hints on where to route this tube would be helpful, perhaps it is just one of those things to figure out on my own.

Also, any hints on what I should expect when I install the 70cc cylinder kit? Proper jets ect...?thanks

I don't know about the prima cylinder, but I (local shop) added a Malossi 70cc to my Buddy 50 (same engine and I assume same carb too) with the prima stage 1 kit (pipe, 1000rpm torque spring, 5g rollers), and a 95 jet. I burned through 2 pistons. First at 60 or so miles after install, and the second at 120 miles after honing out the cylinder and adding a new piston and rings. The cause - I've been told - is that the stock carb is too small. The stock carb on the Buddy 50 I think is a 15mm. If you're adding the cylinder with the pipe and the stiffer springs and lighter rollers, I'd think really hard about adding a larger carb.

Yeah, I'm waiting for a new cylinder kit, 26mm carb w/ larger manifold and a 1500 rpm spring. I'll give that a go with various rollers and see if that leaves me feeling satisfied. Hmmm new secondary gear...

So I should install a bigger carb along with the 70cc cylinder head?

the jets from the 2 stage kit don't fit the stock carb on the Roughhouse 50cc. The RH carb is a needle jet, what should I do????

I installed everthing on the 2 stage kit except the clutch spring and new jets. Friggn' fast compared to before! Off the line, almost threw me off at WOT... for 300 bucks, I am very suprised at the increased performance. I just have to be very careful to get used to all the new power...I can cruise on the flats now at 55 easy, no longer have to worry about hills. Again, havn't touched the jets or clutch spring yet.

Any suggestions would be helpful...thanks!
