I had a package in the mail today from the Genuine Scooter Co. Inside
was a T-shirt (even in my size, 2XL), a key ring , a small notebook and
decal for my car. Farout! I am a bit reluctant to wear a T-shirt that says
"Feel the Love" though. Maybe I'll wear the next time I go to the Honda
Power Sports Superstore and pick up a quart or oil or something. It'll
let the sharks there know that I opted to go elsewhere for a deal.
Honda never did this

I got the same thing. Not sure whether they really mean it, or it's just a gimmick. I have owned a lot of them, but I have bought my last new Honda/Kawasaki/Suzuki/Yamaha bike. These companies are all rip off artists, and very good at their trade. They will rip you off coming, going, and standing still.
Genuine was a pleasure to deal with when I bought my ill fated Stella, and another Genuine dealer was also a pleasure to deal with when I bought my Blackjack. None of those Jap companies have any scooters I want anyway. Yamaha had a winner with the Vino 125, but dropped it for something more expensive. And fuel injected. Jerry.
