gears are only a small piece of the puzzle

I know each and every one of you think a better top speed and cruising speed would better suit the 110. which is why i invested a good bit of savings on a machinist to tell me he couldnt cut gears because the materials were too hard.
i now had a 132cc highly modified rattler engine sitting on the shelf needing a set of gears badly. that was not the result i was looking for so i embarked on making my own gearset. i have come up with a taller set i machined to fit but need one last part before i'll post pics in a week or so. I have about 4 hrs in this set so it may be possible to build a few more if people were intersted but they need to be tested at this point. the math shows a 25% increase in top speed. so with a 62mph average it would then be capable of 80mph. I still have a bit more work to do before testing so check back in about a month to see the result, but ill keep posting my progress.

by mounting a high speed grinder on a lathe instead of turning the harder material you are grinding which is 20 times faster and just as precise.
the trick was to find gears with matching splines. what do you know i had a set sitting in my shop with enough material to make the correct dimensions!

Ya know, I'm OK with the stock gearing. Still would be interesting to know what happened.
