70cc BBK and need to upgrade reeds?

I'm building a 70cc and I've read on the Zuma forum that the Zuma's need to put carbon fiber reed when they do a BBK because the metal reids brake and get into the crancase and mnakje a mess. Anyone know if this is the same for the Genuine reeds? Are they metal? Thanks

Yup, they are stainless steel as far as I can tell, I had one chip the corner off and make this really strange noise...... it kept running but it would not restart after being shut off.

I installed carbon reeds that I bought from Team Calamari, I think they can be sourced elsewhere for less.

Did you get carbon fiber reeds that were specific to the Rattler?

I guess I should have said it was not on my Rattler, It was on a previous owned scooter of mine.
