Make a RoughBuddy 150?

Post by SteveK »

Saw this on Amazon for $325 delivered:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003YD0CXA

A GY6 150cc with carb, CDI and most all that is required to make a RoughBuddy...or BudHouse 150 4-stroke. I think all else that would be required would be the pipe, some various rubber goods, a wiring harness mod, and a slight frame cross member chop and reweld up front forward of the head.

I know it won't be a top fuel dragster but this could be a load of fun...no??

I pulled the trigger already but probably won't do it too soon either. Warranty and such, but maybe over the winter, or maybe next week... 8)

Will do Smiley. I plan on taking pics every step of the way. If for no other reason then to revert back to the 50cc... I'm now searching for a decent 50cc scoot to do the FrankenSwap...If not soon enough I will do one of the 2012's

Come to find out a few more things:

1) I could've ordered this engine setup through T-Motorsports directly and saved 10 bux.
2) I could've payed by Money Order or Cashier Check and saved another 5%.
3) The package is due to arrive on Saturday June 4th.
4) Parts have a full one year warranty.

Anyone have any suggestions on a decent GY6 exhaust that won't break the bank?
