Starting at the intake/carb. Most everyone suggests a 17.5mm carb in the forums. Don't really want to go with a pod type filter as I want to keep it stock looking. Called a bunch of distributors including Scooterworks and asked what size the stock carb is on a 2012 Roughhouse. All of them said it was 13mm.....ding ding.....wrong!!
Pulled the carb and measured it. It is 16.5mm at it's smallest dimension. COOL I thought!! No sense in spending dollars on a carb/AF pod/cable for one measly mm. Especially since it will be only a street/mild port setup.
Now on to the intake manifold. Measured the intake and it is a whopping 23.35mm at it's smallest dimension. VERY COOL I thought. Absolutely nothing to do up front!!....

Going over all of the posts here on MB there seems to be quite a variance of sizes related to the Buddy/RH 50's. Especially posts from Rattler 110cc folks who state their intakes are at only 19-20mm stock.
So from this I conclude the Genuine is supplying High Performance parts on their 2T 50's lately as stock. This confirms why we smoked a China 2T 50cc the other evening....I mean it wasn't even close.....


Anyone feel that bumping the carb from a 16.5mm to a 17.5mm is even worth it? And...on the other end how about this Stage 6 exhaust for a mild/streeter?
