Its not so much that there are new leg shields, but the fact that finally, after three years of seeing the same old lineup, new items are being added for the RH. Hell I can still find Rat 110 stuff and its not even in production anymore. I think its time to have a Roughhouse party.

I'm with you. Other scooters get way more love than the roughhouse. But they sell more too...

As far as I am concerned its long overdue. This may be a forebear'er of things to come. More bling and more upgrades without them being a universal GY6 product would be nice. I as well as some of you know the GY6 stuff is just a crap shoot as to whether or not it will actually fit.

The pictures went up yesterday.
Opinions?
I like the cowl guards, I don't know how I feel about the leasehold gaurds.

I like the look of both items. But the price tag is a bit hefty IMO. Their not chromed, just powder coated. And knowing the wear-ability of the Prima line I would have to send them out to be painted with a better coat to stave off rust. But just knowing that there is something out there that can put a different look on my bike is very good for the RH.

Take a close look at how those leg guards are "bolted" to the floor pan in the pics...

You have to remember that it is just a publicity photo. They were just set in place to demonstrate the functionality. But yes the photographer could have done a better job checking for items that would detract from the shoot.
Looking at the cowl guards there seems to be a spacer that has been left out of the leg guard pics.
And I see what 'empty is saying about foot placement. I usually ride with my feet resting on the middle of the foot, toes well forward of the foot rests. The guards would prevent that posture.

Yeah my feet usually chill about 3 inches over the the front of the the foot rest.
Though I like the look and the extra protection ill probably just get the standard guards.

Looking at those pics again gave me an idea for footrests. The lower outside elbow could be removed leaving just the lower horizontal support bar. Then it would just be a matter of finding a sleeve to fit over the support with the footrest attached, and some mounting bolts.
Anyone else have any similar ideas?

It we find out the diameter of the tubing you could just order those universal clamping foot pegs for Harleys.

So I was at the Genuine dealer in Downers Grove and they had a RH50 fitted with this leg shield guard and cowl protector and I have to say it looks like a mini BMW GS (kinda).
first thing I thought was that now I can mount some pegs on the brush guards to rest my feet and this would be a great little trail-scoot!
slap some trailtech LED spot lights on there and some small panniers.
I haven't heard anyone say this out loud yet but all of this stuff will fit on a Rattler 110! they use the same frame as RH50 & Black Cat (slightly different plastics but same bolt & screw points)
RATTLER110 ADVENTURE SCOOTERS!!!!!!
