what are the available upgrade kits for the Roughhouse 50.

Post by Stilltryn »

Recently Purchased a 2019 Roughhouse 50
Basically New and love it. Only thing is... I
Want to go faster. A friend of mine told me
To get the Polini 70. No think he 90cc Polini
Upgrade kit.And comes with everything I need.
Is that true? Can the scoot handle. It? And is
It compatible?

My opinion: you will spend more time and money messing around with an upgrade kit than you will getting a proper license and a 125 or 150cc scoot.

If you LIKE the fuss factor, and many people do, including me on lots of things but not on 50cc scooters, then go for it. But if you just want to go faster, own up to the fact that 50ccs are not compatible with 50+mph except for the most dedicated modders for whom their scoots are a hobby and not a mode of transportation.

There are many upgrade options, but cracking 50mph true GPS speed will take easily 3-400 dollars of kit, exhaust, carb tuning, etc etc. And after all that, you're 100% voiding the warranty. Can you do it? Sure. Should you do it? Up to you. It would be smarter to trade that one in on a larger engine bike, unless license (or lack thereof) is a factor.
