fine tunning

ok, by now most of you who follow the rattler blogs should know that i have been having some problimes with my rattlers fine tunning,lets start off by listing my mods.prima head kit and pipe ,new reeds,7 gram rollers,and 85 carb jet (i have tryed,82,85,90) it is running lean I live in charleston sc. so its sea leavel so my jetting is been a challenge,so after narrowing it down to a 85 (80 not enough 90 to much ) it still runs hot .the guy at the hotrod shop said it is not uncommon when you upgrade the reed valuves here in the south that causes it to run lean sometimes so on my quest for fine tunning i am going to go back to stock reeds!! If any body out there has any in put it is welcomed till than ill keep you guys informed so it may help you out their

What do you mean by runs hot? Is this by EGT? CHT? And I hope you are running the standard air filter, not a foam pod type.
