Post by denskies »

The two screws that hold up the back wheel cover on the right side fell off and my amazing local dealer cant tell me what size they are. Does anyone know? or know of anything i can use instead?

I assume metric....
I would suggest a trip to your local hardware store (they seem to be more willing to do this than than the big box guys) - tell them you are trying to figure out what size to buy & ask them if you can take a selection to their parking lot to try them
I have done this before with a snowmobile (on a trailer) & my local guy was happy to let me try a few - even though it was a 79 cent sale for the store.
BTW - I would go stainless steel on the replacements - good luck

They are metric. I just replaced these two screws myself last week after my local dealer didn't replace them after a rear tire change. Ugh.

If I remember correctly, they are 10mm (my memory could be hazy, though). I ended up using a locking washer as well to keep them on in the future.

just buy a couple of each size that you think is close then throw the ones that don't fit in a can. It's better than driving back and forth and might work when the next bolt falls out

I had the same problem, it took the dealer a bit to get me one, so I took one of the bolts under the seat as a temp fix, they are the exact same bolts.
