storing 2-stroke scooters over winter

Certainly a topic that no one likes to think about, at least for those of us that live in the colder climates during winter. I don't know if there's already a post out there that helps on this - but I assume that a fuel stabilizer is one thing that should be added, since I'm looking at about 4-5 months of not riding my Rattler 110. If there are any brands other than Stabil that you would recommend, as well as how much gas to leave in the tank or other tips on storing as well, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Fill tank to the top, less room for condensation to form, add stabil and run.

you could fog the engine to give it a nice coat of oil over everything and drain the carb if you want to be hard core.

i"ll probably just start mine up and run it once a month to keep the same gas from sitting in the carb to long.

Thanks! I'll probably run mine at least once every month as well.
