Italia Conversion

So the plan was once we hit 10,000 miles we would do something to mod up our scooters. The black chrome trim out looked so good on the red 125, I decided to surprise my wife with the same swap on her Italia by replacing the chrome cowl protectors, foot pegs & rear rack all in black.

Later in talking about this with Randy at University Scooters, he told me about a body swap they had done to a pink scooter by replacing all the inside body parts to black and again, looking at our 09 red scooter, decided I liked the black so I ordered all new black chrome & black body panels thinking I would surprise my wife as we crossed the 10,000 mile mark.

Then we hit a cold snap and she didn't ride for several days. Her miles stalled out at 9,655 miles. She did not get to ride for about a week which was a problem since I had already sold her chrome and needed to take it off her Buddy but she would know something was up. About that time two big boxes showed up from Scooterworks and she came home early that day.

Then someone posted about repo scooters and a big sale at Genuine and I started making phone calls and shopping. End of story we took a trip to see Jennie at Scootique in Fredericksburg, Texas yesterday and came home with a brand new 2009 Italia.

Nice! I like the black inside with the green! And I'm enjoying the pictures of the almost-naked buddy too- those are always weird and fun to look at.
