Here's my first attempt at a new seatcover. Its a black on black checkerd pattern. Almost looks like silver and black.

First, I cut out a patter using newspaper.
Pinned the pattern to the fabric and cut the pieces out. T
Pinned the fabric pieces together over the seat to make a tight fitting cover.
Had the pieces sewn together.
For the front and back sections, we used elastic around the seat.
For the middle sections , we used velcro.
Its a really tight fit. I sat on it and it doesnt move.

Then I had my Mom embroider the "Scooter Girl" on the side of the seat in orange thread.

I think it came out pretty good :D

Is this a cover over the original seat material, or a replacement? Either way, looks great!

Thanks for the complements.
From start to finish, i think it took about 6 hours.

Its a cover over the original seat. I can take it off any time and place a new cover if I find some other fabric to make another cover.

Sweet Seat! Great job on the nice tight fit. Dig the racing checkerboard look too. A+
