Scootin' the mountains

Took a ride up the mountains outside of Tucson, today. Included some dirt fire roads as well. These mountains are part of the "Sky Islands" hence the name of our scooter club.

These are taken on Catalina Highway. This is one of the top rated motorcycle rides in the country. Lots of twistys, beautiful scenic views. 6000 feet of climbing in 26 miles. It's great. We do 2-3 group rides a year here and have another planned on 7/18 with 3 clubs from southern Arizona.

Syd's right. If you've got a choice, late September or even October would be better riding weather.
