peaceful in that we virtually had this stretch of road, about 50 miles to ourselves. But there were some heavy crosswinds, which being a new rider was challenging, leaving me with a feeling of accomplishment.
Yes, there are a few straight roads in Va.

Rte 250 between Short Pump and Zion Crosswords, nice in that most traffic is on I64.

Nope, it just looks that way. If you notice, it's curving vertically instead of horizontally.
