i thought it'd be a good idea to move this from the other thread.
hey if you're interested, i actually have 4 ferrets currently: squeegie "ouiji" kittieyumsocks, Ruby, Quohog and Bella. I have had a lifelong obsession with ferrets, i saw one at age 5 and laughed so hard i cried. (no lie)
meet:
Squeeg gives me kisses
ruby hates being bathed (and heroscape)
bella is always happy
and quohog never sits still unless she's restrained
again... totally off topic, but who can resist such cuties? although, they are all my "buddies" (Harhar)
hey weaseltamer, I didn't mean to insinuate you should move those pics. I think I meant to say I want to show you mine. Ferrets are the most unique animals i've known. I spent the last hour looking for some pix that aren't even on this computer and the disc player is down. I fell in love about 8 years ago when one showed up in our back yard at the edge of town. Of course we had to get a companion of the species. When I figure out how to post pictures i will. I just had 2 little theives, there's always a veriety of pets around here dogs, cats, fish, turtles...nothing like a weasel... Ferrets are pretty hard to contain though. I don't like cages. Neither did the weasels.
no problem, and no offense taken. and please, post pictures of all your cuties here! i always need to take could-be study time and fritter it away looking at pics or trolling forums on the internet. The other members of our 1 bedroom apartment currently are 2 cats, ninja and samurai, and one hairless rat, named Keemo. Ironically, she's now getting a tumor on her back leg... i lost her best-est sweet buddy, pinky to kidney failure over spring break.
This is my baby. He's a one year old Pharaoh Hound named Cairo and gets into more trouble than he knows what to do with. 1st pic was taken at his last training class. Hurray, he graduated! The second is when he was much younger, hanging out with Jewel (the Doberman) and Cohen (the Greyhound, RIP).
We got her to help us with a mouse problem we had in the barn at the previous house. She's afraid of mice but she brings us a bird/bunny/snake, every week or 2.
This all started when I re-inhertited a 50cc honda elite last year that I rode around campus years ago. I bought the Buddy 125 last year and really caught the bug. I've been searching for a while for a decent Lammy and finally came across this one locally. So I'm up to three for now. Sadly the Buddy may have to go once I get the Lammy fixed up the way I want it. We'll see, both would be cool. As for the Elite, I'm still hoping to get my wife to jump on it and see how much fun scoots are.

here's an idea for you... have a "movie night" in the garage... make believe you're going to the drive through, and have the scooters set up to sit on and watch a movie.
you'll have to actually have a t.v. set up with a movie to make this work. maybe a movie with russell crowe, or perhaps a chic-flick. you may need to have some bait for the future scooterist, such as ice cream, to lure her into the zone. don't skimp on the bait.
you must get her to sit on the scooter for the whole gig to be fruitful. from my own experience with the spouse jump to scoot-dome, the buddy was the scoot that got her hooked. once she sat on it, she was sold.

DO3,
You mean to say, on this forum, that the elite and not the buddy would be the scooter to lure a skeptic to a scooter. In what way would it be favorable. I think it would need to be a $ issue to get away with it here. It's all good fun of course.
Reason 1) 49cc and below doesn't need a permit or motorcycle endorsment as the B125 would. 2) I wouldn't cry (at all) if the Elite got laid down.
Once said person feels comfortable on a scooter and wanted to, I'd be all for letting her ride the Buddy and getting 100% addicted. Although until I get the Lammy tuned a bit she'd whip my butt and I wouldn't be able to keep up.
I had good fun smoking my neighbor the other night on his Stella, not even close.

Right on!
How can you spot a Lambretta from 100 yards away?
It's the scooter with the side cowels off!
Bwah ha ha.
Dave
(Just bought a LD 125 myself last month to add to the collection)
Hopefully that won't be mine. Other than a minor battery charging issue she seems pretty solid so far. Any tips on trouble shooting a 6V DC Motoplat rectifier?
And a hawk in my backyard... not a pet but it was fun watching him pick off rabbits last summer (not as mean as that sounds... they gotta eat also.. right?)
I just spent my stimulus check to adopt a little kitty from the shelter last week.
He's about 8 months old and looks like mostly Tonkinese, but is probably mixed.
He is really sweet, but TERRIFIED of bells... I wonder why... I've decided to call him Toby.
these are my monsters, two miniature schnauzers: salt and pepper is Winston and black is Worsely:
they are the original "buddys" in my life.
sunil: "And if you spend 40 dollars making a pizza then you sir are a retard."
ericalm: "No name calling, please. Maybe he's using truffles and top-grade meats."
Ok here are my 2 lazy cats - Sabrina is the one in back, Busta is the other one. Busta was chocolate brown when I got him, but now he's black lol. Sabrina is fat and shaped like a Hershey's Kiss when she's sitting
And here are my 2 adorable nieces Sophie is 3, morgan is going to be 6 in July
And this is me, drinking some vodka laced iced tea with my motor cycle friends
Here are my other two "buddies". Dia (in back) is still with me at the ripe old age of 18 1/2. Hercules (in front) sadly went over the rainbow bridge. He left us at 17 1/2 and Dia & I both miss him terribly.
I have a mean cat like that too Actually she hates the cat carrier, and strangers. Looks like a racoon. One trip to the vet's office she attempted to poop on me to keep me from getting her into the carrier She's lucky she made it alive.
