Scooter Photo Scavenger Hunt 2010 July Week 1 Public Toilet

OK Here's my 1st attempt at doing the scavenger hunt
This week you have to get a photo of your scooter at a Public Toilet

Your scooter at a Public Toilet = 5 points
Bonus points
1st person to post their picture = 1 point
Yourself in the photo = 2 points
Your scooter in the toilet = 2 points (in the toilet building, not in the actual toilet bowl LOL)
Roll of toilet paper on your scoot = 2 points (no extra points for extra rolls)
Toilet brush= 2 points
Hand Soap = 2 points
Paper hand towel - 2 points
Electric blower hand dryer = 2 points
Toilet seat on your scooter = 4 points
You sitting on toilet with pants around your ankles= 4 points
Your scooter in a Toilet in a Mall or Department Store = 5 points

The hunt from will run Saturday to the following Sunday so you will have 2 full weekends to get your photos.
Entries close at midnight Sunday 18th July YOUR local time. Please list your own individual points tally for each item included & your total points score with your photo.

General Rules for every week:
-Only one photo may be submitted by each member for each week’s Theme (but if you get a better photo later in the week, POST IT with your new points - PLEASE edit your original post note that you posted a better photo and note in the newer post that it is a replacement for a previous photo.
-Old photos you have can NOT be used - they must be NEW photos taken the week the photo Theme was posted
-No Photoshop submissions

Good choice. Have to go sneak around a public park or something. Will a campground or highway rest stop work? I guess they are public.

No can do: the cops who patrol all the public toilets around here would recognize me.

Maybe once I'm on the road, at one of the state parks.

Dunno, they are usually rented for events or construction sites. Public means anyone, anytime.

We have port-o-potties that are always in the same place like boat ramps, fishing piers, beach parking lots, etc. How bout bonus points if you get your scooter in a bathroom in the mall or walmart?

TVB would still be out for Walmart bathrooms. Didn't know they could ban you counties at a time.

I'm an easy bloke to please. Porta-potty's are OK as long as they are available for public use. PUBLIC being the key word or everyone could take the easy option & photograph their home loo

Suggestion humbly accepted KB. In a mall or department store toilet/bathroom = 5 points. Points list has been amended. I am wondering if the lady scooterist who took her scooter up 19 floors for the work challenge will buy into this one

Today I got to watch Germany kick some butt (well, Butt kicked some butt) then it finally stopped raining long enough for me to get the tag. What a great day!

Ummmm... Nice try but sorry, your scooter isn't in the photo but that is still an awesome photo.

That really sucks... Trying to go to the toilet in peace & privacy, someone thrusts the door open & takes your photo!!!

I won't add them to the bonus points list but it would probably be worth a bit to sell the photos to the media

It's not the points that matter so much as being in the game. We had lottsa rain all weekend so I couldn't get out for a photo. Hopefully the coming saturday will be a more photo friendly day. I have my toilet picked out & some bonus point accessories. Just need it not to rain

OK it's late Sunday afternoon & the rain has stopped, FINALLY... So I rode to a local shopping centre to get my toilet photo.

Your scooter at a Public Toilet = 5 points
Roll of toilet paper on your scoot = 2 points
Toilet brush= 2 points
Hand Soap = 2 points

Total = 11 points

I got back & my wife said, "Have you seen the hand soap? I went to the toilet, went to wash my hands & the hand soap was gone" I showed her the photo

Note: I pushed the magic red button to open the door so I could get a shot of the hot air blower hand dryer but it wouldn't open. I think someone was in there. I had a roll of paper hand towel too but because my scooter was leaning over on the side stand it kept falling off. I didn't bother putting it up on the centre stand & rearranging the items again because I was worried about the occupant opening the door & coming out while I was taking the photo

So I just forfeited the paper towel points & hurried to get the photo before that door opened. An old man hobbled past & gave me a strange look

I couldn't find an out of the way toilet to use so I had to go with this high traffic area one

Unlike the Scooter tag where you just pull up & take a photo & that's it, it did feel weird putting toilet items on my scooter in public. I almost felt like a little kid who was up to something mischievous & about to be caught.

Professionals say that the hour surrounding sunrise and sunset are the best times of the day for photography. That works for other things too.
