New member here, been scootin' for several years on my Vino 125. I got the Stella and sidecar rig a little over a week ago and already have over 200 miles on it.
That is my dingo Roxie in the car.
I do have the steering damper that attaches at the steering column.
I tried without it for a couple days and it was terrible wobbly so I just drilled those holes and mounted the thing. Now I can keep it steady at nearly all speeds (and braking) with just a bit more muscle than regular 2-wheel scooting.
I switch back-and-forth quite a bit from sidecar to no-sidecar and it is just one extra small step to finger tighten/loosen the steering damper (in addition to the 5 bolts and a wire)

I'd like to take my schnauzer for a ride in a sidecar, but he would only want to go if I had a BMW, Hienkel or other make from the fatherland . He is a bit nationalistic.

I ordered the damper that goes between the sidecar and the scoot's front fork. I have a Vino 125 for solo scooting so I'll leave the Stella set up as is.
When I picked my rig up I drove it 140 miles home and it took a solid week to get the feeling back in my hands.
I couldn't imagine 140 miles without a steering damper. You deserve some kind of sidecar award for that. I ended up taking home my scooter first and then the sidecar in another trip (in the van) the following week to avoid that situation.
Let us know how your steering damper turns out. That's the one that is like a horizontal shock absorber right?
