I wanted a sort of faux-fairing look, so this is what I came up with. I really like it, it turned out exactly as I envisioned it!!
****EDIT**** Was having some trouble with the photos...should be better now.

the how...
On the BACK of the windshield, I first masked off the off white stripes using some 3M vinyl lining tape (get it at auto paint stores and the like) the stuff I used was 1/2" wide. Once I had the lines the way I liked them I masked the rest of the windshield and sprayed the lines (the only unmasked area at this point) with some paint that pretty closely matches the pamplona off white.
Once that dried I removed all the lining tape except what was masking the top of the top line. At this point I had my two stripes and the lower part of the shield unmasked. Now I sprayed right over the stripes with paint that I had the auto paint store match to Pamplona red for me.
Once the red was dry, a final coat of gloss went on and I took the rest of the lining and making tape off - voila!
All the paint and tape together cost about $20, money well spent IMO!
