Ok you guys asked for more pics of my Buddy.... so here they are. I hopefully this winter will write up some how to's as to what I did and how I did them.

I have actually made more changes since theses pictures were taken.

I have added a Garmin Nuvi and a Camera mount to the scooter.

List of things I did:
1. Changed grips out.
2. Filled holes on legshield
3. Added lower tone horn.
4. Ground Effect Lighting
5. Repainted BMW Urban Green.
6. Custom Decals.
7. Renamed: Switchblade
8. Removed buddy Logos
9. LineX the floorboard chunks that were silver.
10. MP3 Audio System using either IPOD or Garmin NUVI.
11. Replaced stock exterior bolts with Chrome Bolts
12. Painted RIMS
13. Painted Fork.
14. Digital Clock
15. Customized the Speedometer.
16. Camera Mount
17. Garmin Nuvi GPS Mount

Oh yeah I love this scooter. It my 9th scooter so that is saying a lot!

How do you like the new grips as compared to the stock ones? I really enjoy the ergonomic shape of the OEM grips, but also really like the look of some chrome ones like yours.

I love the new grips. The contour grips are nice but if you want something more to hold onto (this is hard to explain).....then you want to get these grips... they are wider so you do not have to throw the throttle as far back.

I was curious about what it takes to do the paint work or whom you have to work with to get it done...I'm interested in a black buddy and painting the silver panels a metallic red. I haven't been able to find anything specific on painting those parts.

1. Need to remove panels from bike.
2. Need to scuff services for paint.
3. Paint bike (I would take it to a autobody shop).

Its pretty easy.

Take the side panels (under the floorboard off first). The other pieces come off pretty easy from there Except for the front lower legshield which requires you to remove the front wheel.

Where can I get some additional mirrors for my buddy. I'd like an extra set or two coming out from the base/shaft of the other mirrors. Like you have on your side car scoot.

I really like the LineX idea for the silver passenger footrests. These wear quickly, and the bedliner material should give them both grip as well as durability.

Where did you put the digital clock? I didn't see it in the photos.
I want to add a digital tach to mine.

Really nice detail work on all those scooters. Gotta love that Buddy speedometer graphic, though!

The graphics on the speedo were probably the hardest thing to do. I used a lamination machine to build up a Inkjet Photo Paper Speedo replacement. I think I ran it through the machine like 9 times. I think I did permanent damage to my laminator in the process.... not made to do that.

The digital clock is just one of those $2 clocks from Autozone. Works well.

The linex floorboards chunks look awesome and really work much better.

The Mirrors that I have on my Vespa P200 are MOD mirrors. They are SUPER expensive and require clamps to install. If you want to install these on a Buddy you will need something for it to clamp onto. I would suggest (but I dont know if it will work) the chrome front rack that you can buy for the buddy. Keep in mind that the Buddy is a lot smaller then Vespa P200 and it will probably look way out of place. You can buy them at SCOMO.NET, Scooterpartsdirect.com or scooterworks.com.

The decals on the Yamaha Vino125 (red scooter - Jubilicious) were a massive pain to apply. Each decals is a seperate decal. Over 400 decals total! Took me over 20 hours to apply. I built templates for the decals and then had them made a Fastsign. After applying all decals I clearcoated the pieces to make sure they would not come off.

The dreaded Lambretta. My Lambretta now has well over $10K of stuff on it. It is SUPER Fast can go well over 70MPH and is super quick!
She is so fast it is scary!

Love that green colour! How did you rig up the ground effect lighting?

WOW WOW WOW!!!! It has allways been my dream to have a business doing this type of aftermarket/upgrading/customizing with cars and now scoots too. So to see this was so amazing to me. Really i have a lump in my throat right now thats how impressed and amazed and inspired i feel. it's as if you took the ideas and dreams out of my head and put them into photos for me. too bad you live across the country from me i'd love to hook up with you and learn some tricks, share ideas or just get help with my own scooter!

I must say that your custom work on your speedo is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. Could you give some more details on how you did that? Both taking apart the OEM display and creating the replacement. Thats the # 1 Buddy I have seen yet!
