too bad there wasn't an American flag or some fireworks in the background so it could have been entered into the weekly totals.

Idaho Falls was originally named Eagle Rock by settlers because of an eagle's nest built on a rock island in the Snake River, which runs through town.
This fountain was built to represent that history and is the centerpiece of a new development along the river near downtown Idaho Falls. Texas sculptor Vic Payne was commissioned to cast the eagles and they were installed on top of the fountain about a year ago. He also cast the mountain lion down below on the rocks.
The wingspan of each eagle is 21 feet, and they are reportedly the largest bronze eagles in the world.
The street you see in scootertrash's photo is actually a roundabout, which is fun to scoot through.
