I am having a throttle issue with my St. Tropez. Essentially the entire component is fitting very loosely into the handlebars. It sinks all the way down when I accelerate and I am able to pull it out horizontally as well. It still accelerates, but it is very very odd. I have it in the garage for the meantime will I sort this out, but I don't wanna take the bus!
Does this make sense? Any thoughts?

Sounds like the housing is loose. You should be able to tighten it up with a phillips (possibly Torx or hex driver). Could you post a pic?

Probably a loose bolt. Hope its just loose. Here's a couple of pics to help you see where to look. The bolt is behind the housing on the back side of the start button. Neither my camera nor my eyes are very good, so could not tell if it was hex, torx, phillips or what. Hope this helps.
Pictures are from underneath. You can see the throttle cable so use that as a guide.
Mystery solved. I needed a set of young eyes to determine that it is a phillips head. Also moved the scoot out and took what I hope is a decent picture.
Its good to have a teenager around.
Sorry, pics are still crappy. Maybe the dog has been licking the lens again.

Good advice. Let's hope that fixes it. BTW if your camera has a "macro" setting, that one focuses on close up pics. I have the same problem seeing up close as you. Eyes too old. I've got dollar store reading glasses scattered around every room of the house, in the scoot, in the car...

If you want to avoid problems in the future, go buy a tube of blue locktite. Any time you have to take a screw out, put a dab on the threads and that screw/bolt will be pretty much worry free. Just don't use it on any drain plugs!
