Make it scream!

Post by WEW »

Hello -

I am new to the scooter world and must say that after being a crotch rocket rider I am impressed with the Buddy 125.

Do understand that I have taken a knee and have given up the super bikes now that I have a family.

The 125 came into my life as a mid-life crisis - it was that or a '77 t-top trans am......... not.....

So, I am in search of making my brave little scooter scream - the question is how? This is where I need some help.

How do I make this baby scream?

Welcome to the forum.

Start here:

The guy (Kaos) that runs the above site has a Buddy 125 that has hit 88mph. I myself would call that scream'n!

There are lots of threads here on various modifications and performance upgrades. There are also several threads in the FAQ section.

The real questions are how much performance do you want, how much do you want to spend, and how far are you willing to go?

Take the price you pay for a new scooter and cut it in half. That is about what it will cost to take the motor and drivetrain etc. to its limit.
no i don't ride a scooter, i am a scooter pilot!

Take it to Mike at NoHo Scooters and ask him what you can do.

Ah, just noticed you're in my neck of the woods!

Are you buying from NoHo? Mike and Jimmy (the owner and tech) will probably have some good suggestions for making it scream.

Do you want to scream off the line or hit ridiculous top speeds?
