Scooter Comic

Post by Kaos »

A co-worker likes to rib me for how long it takes me to ungear when it's raining, I always tell him he's a cager he wouldn't understand. Well today sent me this comic never read the strip before, but that about nails my interactions with him :)

Yup that's pretty much how I feel when I ride to work in the winter. Summer time is a slim down version of all the gear.

yeah there have definitely been some times when I'm gearing up in the morning for what will surely be a freezing cold ride and I start to wonder about the wisdom of giving up my car... then I pull out of the driveway.

Yep. Gearing up/down can be a drag but sometimes a nice ritual. Kinda like a Gladiator going to battle the Evil Cagers.
I notice they have the guy taking off his helmet before his gloves, though. I usually have my gloves off first. Hard to unbuckle the helmet with gloves on :P

Gotta admit, I feel that way alot once the weather cools down. I can be at work in 5 minutes in my cage. There's a lot of days when I don't feel like spending more time messing with my gear than the length of the ride. (please don't shoot me)

I'm totally with you. I think a lot of riders start out with the idea of just "hopping on the scooter" and going wherever at any time. Then we think about pavement. And cars. Trucks. Pavement.

In one of the strips, Pip gives Art some police riot gear that is labeled "In Case of Zombies"!
