Buddy 50 - Carburetor adjustment questions

Post by 10gallonhat »

I am hoping somebody can help clear up my confusion.

In the attached picture from the Buddy 50 service manual there are two adjustments on the carburetor. The little screw (#1) and the bigger thumb screw (#2).

I've read the whole manual and searched here, but I can't find a definite answer on what each of these screws is and the function they perform.

Questions:
1) Which screw is which?
2) What happens when I tighten screw #1?
3) What happens when I tighten screw #2?

If anyone can help clear up my confusion it would be greatly appreciated!

screw one is airmixture ,,, screw two is idle...

CAUTION!!! airmixture if turned too much "in" (tighten) you well make it too lean...

my advise is if your really not sure have someone that is adjust the airmixture... if you already turned it and not sure i would not run it untill you have someone that knows how to adjust the airmixture of a twostrok do it... too lean and its going to cause problems...
