Speedometer Stopped Working:

Post by echondrite »

After putting on the 70cc BB kit my speedometer stopped working. Anyone else have this problem? If so, what did you do?

That's strange. No power? Stays at zero mph? When you started to take stuff of to put on the kit, did you unplug something associated with the spedo or power to the spedo? Loose ground? Does the scoot start and run. I had a gy6 one time that wouldn't start. I kicked it like a hundred times. Got angry and began to take some plastic off to access the motor. The ground wire had worked loose from the little fitting. Plugged it back in and it started in 5 tries. Not that this is the same but either a connection is loose, or your spedo is toast. You have the analog spedo right?

Maybe I misunderstood. I thought you were.....damn, my spedo done broke. Help me fix it. But instead you actually were saying........check it suckas, my whip so fast, my spedo iz melted. :D. I have the same as you but for the pmx 110. I'm thinking of converting to the rattlers digi. I guess you could just order a cable.

I haven't shopped around yet. I just like the newer naked handlebar setup. I bought some cafe bars already thinking I would convert this summer if I got some time.

quit procrastinating it only takes like half an hour.
the handling characteristics are drastically improved.
throw a digi speedo on too all for less than 200
the rattler setup is less than 75 bucks plus you get to start your odo over.
