Finally. Almost one year since I first logged on to this site, I have my Buddy! A Buddy Italia 125 to be precise. I thought I was just going to pick it up and come home and get back to work (I work at home as a freelance writer), but, well, after filling it up, I decided to just swing by one friend's house, then another, and then, finally...well...one hour later...
But anyway -- the reason for this post. I wanted to thank everybody who responded to my voluminous questions about what to buy, what gear to get, etc. etc. etc. Thanks again. And now I finally feel like a real part of the community. Woohoo!!!!!!!!!
My scooter is here!!!!!!!

Congrats! I know what you mean, you get the scoot and then just "casually" scoot by your friends' places. You know, "just to see if they're out". I got called out on that behavior by one of mine. He asked how many times I'd ridden by before I saw him outside. I had to fess up - about half a dozen!

OK. No mods yet except for a storage rack on the back. KBC full face helmet. Gloves. Doc Martin boots. First Gear jacket which, since it's about 95 degrees with accompanying humidity, I'm reluctant to wear until the temperature drops a bit. Vault lock. And a couple of very happy credit card companies.

YAAAY and congratulations. I remember riding mine home (about a year ago) across the Pensacola Bay bridge and this rice rocket blows by me, then slows down so I can catch up, gives me the once over, then the universal 2 wheeler one finger (index) wave. I couldn't help feeling I was now part of some secret club and the only membership requirement is remembering the secret...riding on two wheels is fun!
