Denver Buddy Riders - Who's freaking going...

Post by jetboy »

...on Sportique's "Cherry Creek Freak" ride this weekend?

I think I counted 3 Buddys last month. Let's see more this time!

It's going to be 95 on Saturday, so the gelato is going taste pretty good!

Still stock. I figure I'm going to stand back and check out the results of your long-term reliability test lab! :clown:

un_designer, gt1000: are you going to be there?

yea, i'm going to try and make it.

tangent, but i always see a black buddy parked in front of pantagonia in LoDo. does that belong to anyone here?

then there's the sunset orange one in front of CRAVE.

and the cream one with a lot of stickers by 14th on the sidewalk by the DPCA.

I was really hoping to make this ride because I've missed every other one this year. Not gonna happen though. I'm dealing with an emergency of sorts at work and a wedding. Hope you have good weather!

Cherry Creek Freak Redux -

It was a great ride (if not a little unsettling... we really shouldn't have been on that part of Washington Park. Those crazy scooterists! ) There were about 30 scooters total and I counted about 9 Buddys outside the gelato shop. The gelato was really good. Not cheap (Cherry Creek, you know), but good. Sportique had pizza and a great raffle afterwards.

un_designer - I see those Buddys downtown all the time too!

The Cherry Creek was our first ride. We had 3 people on Buddys and 1 on the old Honda Elite. Pretty fun. Looking forward to doing it again soon - do they happen often?

I think the black Buddy outside Patagonia may be a friend of mine. He was 1 of the 3 at the ride.

Did ya hit some rain on the way home? I pulled in the garage just before it really hit, I was tempted to pull over and put on the rain suit but it all worked out fine, Any word on an additional ride from sportique?

I am going to start putting the zx-50 back together this week and order a new piston for it from sportique. I had a lot more fun on the last ride than the previous one, would like to see more rides up into morrison and redrocks etc..that was fun.......if you feel like just going riding some time let me know, I have lots of time off and love to just get out and ride.

anyone going to the grand opening of the new sportique store on the 1st? Free BBQ! YUM!!!!!!!!!!! maybe we can organize a little ride up into redrocks on that day after or before eating and seeing the new store?? anyone up for it?

ICE - You know, the rain never really did amount to very much more than we were riding through. I toughed it out and it really started to pour right after I got home. Lucky!

Wow! There is so much happening that weekend. I was planning on making my yearly pilgrimmage to Sniagrab and then hit the Sportique opening on the way home. I rode to work today and saw that the sign is up! Now you've got me thinking about how I can incoporate all three activities. I'd also like to get up into the Morrison area, since I missed the June ride. I'll have to let you know.

The rain wasn't too bad. In fact, the 4 of us rode up to Golden to tour the Coors brewery after the ride. Rained on us a bit going up but it was beautiful on the way home.

- we're definitely down for a ride up to Morrison -
