WOW! Being a huge fan of the 125 this has it all… Particularly the front forks which I think they all need. I would get them if it didn't cost a gozillion dollars to install… I find it easy to bottom out the fronts.. That disc… holy crap… First time I've been jealous of a new buddy model… Need lots more cash in my pocket!!

I'm pretty sure 174 is an even number.Rippinyarn wrote:I love it, but whew, 174 (what an odd number?) will go fast. At least we know it will be a sell out. Very cool.

Maybe they had exactly 174 units on hand of one of the special components?
A few observations:
It's obviously a Bubu, but it's not branded "Buddy", just "Psycho".
The sign for the Bates Motel in the background is a cute touch.
Following the build-up of how wild and badass it is by telling us that you can charge your phone on it is a bit anti-climactic.
No mirrors?!

I like it. Since going with blackwalls and black mirrors on my Blackjack, I've wondered how it would look with blacked out headlight bezel and horncast. The pic of the Psycho sways me to give it a try. Maybe do it in spray-on Plasti-Dip so it can be peeled off if I don't like it.
As good as the Psycho looks, I wonder why they didn't go for a similar treatment with the 170i?

A "blacker" refresh of a Blackjack, that's all....
... and that is AWESOME! If this came out the same time I picked up my P200, I may of been swayed over to a twist-n-go. VERY sharp
Too bad they weren't able to shoehorn a 170i motor in it, but it's pretty cool what they got.
Too bad there's only going to be 174 of them

Not paying attention... it's a matte black Buddy 125 with NYC suspension front and rear (forks and shocks), upgraded front brake, and upgraded transmission. With a custom seat/saddle. All for only $399 more.scooterjon wrote:Hmmm this is just a mat black buddy 125 with a adjustable rear shock for $300 more not to impressive I could do this with about $40 worth a spray paintAdjustable rear shock should be standard equipment IMO

^^^ Agreed, the pile of bits you get added on is a good deal for that cash!
And yes, the black rack, prima pipe and bars are options they don't come on it. Just double checked that.
But, still a bargain...Cool bike, I really want to see that seat in person. Hopefully it will be available as an option by itself.
Speed is only a matter of money...How fast do you want to go?

At night, maybe. In broad daylight, black is very noticeable.
I guess somebody could add some of those daylight-invisible reflector strips, if so inclined. A bright jacket and helmet are also helpful. In fact, I bought my latest helmet in white because it's visible and nothing sticks up higher than your head while riding.
Of course, if you want to look as "bad" as the bike, you'd probably want the whole Brando outfit in black.

You could have a hot pink bike with 140dB air horns at each end while wearing a TRON-inspired bodysuit with EL wire on every seam and some idiot will STILL claim that they didn't see you....jonlink wrote:To me it'd be crazy to ride this. Mat black seems like an invitation for cars to look through the scoot and and then drive over it.
Some people can't help that they are a menace on the road and have no place behind the wheel. The best we can do as riders is to be aware and try to avoid those idiots.
